Parks in Jakarta Will Be Equipped with Sports Infrastructures
“ It will be pilot parks in East Jakarta. Developed countries have done it, it’s time for us to try it ,” stated Head of East Jakarta Parks Sub-Department, Suzi Marzitawati, Friday (6/20).
According to Marzitawati, this project is conducted because East Jakarta is a prone to flood area. The water tank will be planted six-meter deep to save rainwater. So during dry season, the water can be used to water the plants in the park. Particularly for Viaduk Parks, they will be equipped with jogging tracks, bicycle tracks, and fitness facilities.
For information, the construction of pilot parks Jakarta has been done previously in Lapangan Banteng Park (Central Jakarta) and Dadap Park (South Jakarta).
